An ideal pressure point, or secondary target, has less to lose than the primary target. A research organization that bought animals from MBR might have their entire business to lose by listening to protestors; this makes it much less likely they’ll listen. The Wayne County Supervisors that represent areas other than North Rose have less to lose for opposing MBR compared to the supervisor representing Rose, but they still have power over it since they govern the county it resides in. Scott Marshall has his company, his family’s way of life, and sense of self to loose.

Marshall Pet Products is manufactured by Marshall BioResources, a company that breeds and sells beagles, pigs, ferrets, and other animals for use in laboratory research and testing. I find it unacceptable for a retailer that markets itself as a champion of animal welfare to carry products from a supplier whose core business is animal research and testing.
Until Petco removes Marshall Pet Products from its shelves and website, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I am also sharing this decision with my family and friends and encouraging them to do the same until this changes.
I would appreciate a response outlining Petco’s position on this issue and any plans to reconsider this vendor relationship.

A USDOT number is a unique ID used by the government to track a commercial truck’s safety record. The DOT is listed by Precisium Solutions LLC in Madison WI. The same exact address as Envigo was. Name changed in 2026. The trucks appeared to be non-climate controlled. Shipping regulations are likely being violated.

Failed an inspection in January for operating a CMV without a proper CDL, and false reporting on ELD-all public info anyways. A lot of grey-red flags going on” — an activist that works in transportation.
